Mark and Sandy Sappersteen wanted to bring the dining public a truly unique restaurant experience, and with an accumulated 20 years in the food service industry behind them, they began their endeavor on April 2, 1989, the day after they were married. The building they chose had at one time been a packing and shipping depot. There was no kitchen but there was an expansive interior that they envisioned holding hundreds of dining guests, and the remodeling began. Opening night for Pizazz was on the Sappersteen’s first wedding anniversary and the fun has never stopped!
Attentive service and unique food are the areas that Mark oversees. He supervises the chefs on a nightly basis, and has been known to man the ovens himself on occasion. He also coaches the wait staff, making changes to best suit his guest’s needs. Sandy is responsible for making the Pizazz experience a fun time, managing the Picadilly Lounge, booking banquets and parties and, of course, making sure the fog and bubble machines have plenty of fluid for an evening of surprises.
Pizazz is located just off of the Main St. bridge that crosses the Fox River, with easy access to both Main and Bowen Streets. Is is just minutes off of Highway 41. Reservations are always accepted. We hope to see you tonight!
